They are upgrading the electricity lines to take the expected output from the turbine. Currently they can ony handle 3/4 of its output.
The turbine will be still for approx two weeks for the new lines to go in. Many will have seen the SSE vehicles and diggers in the area.
“While it is dissapointing not to be earning money just now, we know this is necessary for the expected greater output – and the higher earnings for the community’s funds in the end of the day” said Brain MacDougall, Chair of the Trust.
