Salary £26K (pro rata, initially c22 hours per week)
The Udny Community Trust Company was formed in October 2009. Its aim is to disburse funds into the local community and to manage community projects.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to develop and manage projects and to provide support to the Board and wider community. As this is a newly created post, the successful candidate will be a self-starter with the confidence and ability to quickly develop productive relationships with the local community, third sector and commercial partners.
You will need previous experience of working on community projects, excellent project planning and communication skills and the ability to organise and promote events and activities that raise the profile of the Trust and increase local community involvement and participation. You will demonstrate considerable financial acumen and the ability to provide statistical financial analysis and to develop business plans and proposals for funding applications.
You will succeed by drawing on experience of partnership working with a local community and other relevant agencies and the ability to develop sustainable commercial development strategies. A knowledge of the local area and community would be an advantage.
The post is offered initially on a fixed term basis until March 2016 with flexible hours to suit the needs of the Trust. Some evening work and weekend work will be required and you will need access to your own transport.
